Checking a trading vendor

Most vendors in this category are ordinary businesses selling ordinary software. The point of a check is not to assume otherwise — it is to establish which kind you are dealing with before money moves, using questions that have verifiable answers.

  1. Every vendor shows performance. The difference between the good ones and the rest is which parts they show you when the numbers are unflattering.

  2. Not every irritation is a red flag. These are the ones that reliably separate a thin operation from a real business — and the three that should end the conversation.

  3. Seven things a legitimate NinjaTrader vendor will tell you without hesitating, and what it means when one of them takes three emails to establish.

Turn this into a checklist

The checker on the front page turns general warning signs into items you can tick off against something specific. These guides are the trading-software version: what to ask, what a straight answer looks like, and which non-answers matter.
